Dream Catcher

Is it wrong to have a catcher?

I am a Christian. My faith is very strong, I pray often and read my Bible when I can, but I've been having dreams intense. I want to get rid of them because I feel like I'm making my "waking life." What should I do? and it is wrong for a Christian have a catcher?

Dream recipients are caused by man. There are no Christian faith, but Native American superstition. Raising the issue Lord, what do you say? I think if the Lord is allowing for you to have certain dreams, you should consult with him in prayer. Other things that can affect your sleep is to eat too close to bedtime, medications, watching TV before bedtime. Try to avoid these things, as they may affect their dreams.

Birdhouse Great

Any bird experts know of this behaviour?

a little bird that has appeared in our garden,i'm not sure what he is but from the looks of the RSPB site it is a coal or a great tit.

We have been watching him for a few days, as he makes his way in and out of the birdhouse my daughter built.
We decided to go over yesterday and take a peek inside. I expected to see some evidence of nest building, but instead we saw the funniest thing. The bird house was 3/4 full of sunflower seeds, and nothing BUT sunflower seeds!
We love the idea that he is gathering these up from one specific place and bringing them to our birdhouse to woo a lady friend with his great stash- maybe he has a gal in mind that favours sunflower seeds? :)

I know nothing about birds and i wondered if anyone was familiar with this, or can enlighten me to the reasons behind this funny behaviour.

We live in a devlopment of houses in a rural seaside location, if that helps.

hello my dear ~ not too sure about this, but it could be that he's [?] just storing up, or its part of the mating game.

You can always email the BTO ~ this is the British Trust of Ornithology and they will probably be able to tell you wants taking place.

Hope this helps.

Crafting a Gourd Birdhouse

How to preserve a pumpkin?

My father is the pumpkin, and we want to preserve what is seen as it is. We do not want to open it to make a birdhouse, etc, but would like to maintain its color and is only preserved. It is starting to turn a bit brown. It would be the application of polyurethane per year be the best solution? Please give me advice on how best to preserve it, thanks!

Are you talking about the huge yellow squash? If so, my family in Europe could used as a water jug and a water carrier when they came out in the field. I think it's great. I know you picked comes out clean, and what they did to him after I'm not sure. I would definitely ask someone in the floral industry that is if you are not using food as a potable device. Wash the gourds with a solution borax with a soft, dry cloth. This will help prevent diseases that cause skin blemishes. The first stage of drying will take about a week during which the outer skin hardens and the color sets. Hang or place squash in a single layer on a table or on the screen, do not touch, in a warm, dry, well ventilated. If the pumpkins are the place in the newspaper, the documents should be changed daily. Any soft fruit or wilt development should be discarded. Interior Drying is the second stage and will have at least 3 to 4 weeks for small pumpkins. big pumpkins, like bird house gourds, it will take much longer. Keep pumpkins in a warm, dry, well ventilated and regularly turn to discourage wilting and promote even curing. Provide heat during the process internal curing to accelerate drying and discourage decay. Pumpkins can be covered with a mold or bark at this time. This is normal, so those who develop training crust must be maintained. When properly cured, the pumpkins are light in weight and the seeds rattle inside the pumpkin. Finally, the gourds should be washed in hot water and used steel wool to remove mold or bark. Let the outer skin to dry completely, then pumpkins can be ground and polished or waxed.

Should we clean the outdoor bird houses at the end of the season?

We added several new home built bird houses this spring. We didn't get any purple martins or blue birds, but swallows, finches and some wrens happily built nests. Should we clean out the houses before next spring, or will that discourage the birds from using the houses again. The barn swallows keep returning to their nests in our barn and we never touch those nests.

I always clean my bird boxes out in March, so it will be ready for use, they must like it they keep coming back...........
