A little bit about Me...Well, there I am, that is Me, Tonya. Back Porch Pickins was born and built out on My Love and My Passion for Primitves & Folk Art! I am pretty much self-taught or having a "watchful eye"...trial and error mostly. All of my Handmades are made by Me, One at a Thyme, paying attention to detail & quality!

As a Little Girl, I was always making something with my hands. I would spend hours-on-end creating. That Passion, even from when I was a little girl, has taken form and has become what it is today. There is not a day that goes by, that I am not "Thankful", for the ability that I have been given to Create and Make Handmades. I feel this is exactly where I am suppose to be and exactly what I am suppose to be doing. I find great Happiness & Comfort in sharing my handmade Primitive & Folk Art pieces with all of you.

I was born and raised in Sounthern Minnesota....now My husband and I still reside there, with our 3 children. I guess we have not had enough of those cold, long wynters! Beauty and Inspiration is all around us, on our 10 acre property. We Love living in the Country...there is just something about being able to live a slower, more peaceful way of Life...in the Country.
