Need plants that are "tough bird," to be near a bird bath in full sun SoCal, short, evergreen, beautiful?

We have a couple of pots on a patio floor near a glass door, and wants to put plates on them with pot plants around the dishes. A saucer of a bath bird, a seed, so the kittens can see birds through the glass door. There is just no place for a bath pedestal or hanging feeder. I would like the ability to land plants in birds and the lapping of water. Succulent or maybe ... ?

I had some in a nest of nightingales vid passiflora just on the other side of a glass door of my cats, so some birds are braver than others and certainly sparrows, finches and doves are large animals that will quickly become accustomed to any indoor cat. It is unlikely that you will get any mourning doves, starlings and crows with a stage set as if he were describing. For most of the year can get hummingbirds in southern California, and my cats like to view. Get a bamboo pole with a hook on the floor and firmly establish in one of his pots in? I do not think bird activity detrimental to most plants, and I do not think I'd be very interested in the plants themselves. I, I annual plant. Have fewer problems in pots, and if a dispute kills or harms a plant, no big deal. The birds are either looking for something to hide dense, or open space Released in case they need to flee. Just keep in mind that the root spilled seed and will have to pull the pots fall in, and the seeds that fall outside the pots will be a bit more of a hassle to clean.
